How to check the Joomla database name?

In case you need to manage your Joomla database and you are not sure what is your database name, you can easily find that out by opening your Joomla configuration.php file.

You can access it through your cPanel -> File Manager, it is located in the folder where you have installed Joomla. You can open the file when you mark it and then select the Edit option from the tools above. When you open the configuration.php file, look for the following lines:

  • public $user = ‘DATABASE USER‘;
  • public $password = ‘PASSWORD‘;
  • public $db = ‘DATABASE NAME‘;

Once you have the Database Name proceed to your cPanel -> phpMyAdmin to manage it.

Should you experience any difficulties you can always contact our 24/7 Support Team who will gladly help you with your Joomla database.
