Terminate FTP Connections in cPanel

You can easily terminate FTP connections in cPanel. For example, if you’re using your cPanel account purely for FTP storage you can track and disconnect any unwanted connections.

Disconnect FTP Connections from cPanel

1. Login to your cPanel account

2. Click the FTP Connections tool.

3. You will see all current FTP connections. The Status allows you to track their activity, it has 3 states:

IDLE – The FTP account is logged in but is not Uploading/Downloading

UL – The FTP account is currently Uploading to your account

DL – The FTP account is currently Downloading from your account

4. To terminate a connection you can click on Disconnect. This will immediately disconnect the logged in user.
