What is Anonymous FTP?

Many public FTP repositories allow anonymous connections. This means that you do not log in using Username and Password – you can access the files publicly and download them. Some repositories also allow Uploading as well.

Is Anonymous FTP Allowed in cPanel?

You can access your cPanel account’s files using FTP. You are required to use Username and Password for authentication.

Anonymous FTP access is disabled – it is a major security issue to have access to your account’s files without being authenticated.
